Mono propylene glycol or MPG is a chemical compound which is in the form of a colorless, tasteless, and odorless liquid with a slightly thick consistency. It is an organic compound with the molecular formula C₃H₈O₂ and it is classified as a diol or an alcohol. It is produced by the hydration of propylene oxide.
