Ammonium sulphate is a white crystalline salt classified chemically as ammonium salt which has the chemical formula (NH₄)₂SO₄. It is very soluble in water and is mainly used as fertiliser.

Ammonium sulphate is usually packed in polyethylene bags that are robust or laminated woven sacks. These packages afford protection to the product from moisture and contamination during transport and shelving.
